General responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Chief Operating Officer by:
  • Coordinating schedules, setting meetings, and interfacing with on-site staff, national church leadership and local congregations
  • Creating and processing documents and reports, maintaining policies and procedures, answering telephones, filing correspondence and documents
  • Making hospitality arrangements for board meetings, ministry conferences, etc. and overseeing their successful execution
  • Purchasing supplies
  • Processing applications from local churches relating to property ownership, risk management, including the creation and maintenance of spreadsheets
  • Providing oversight of receptionists and serving in that capacity approximately 6 hours per week
  • Other duties as requested

    Qualifications include:

  • Faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to the values of the church as expressed in Chapter Three of the Free Methodist Book of Discipline
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Verbal and written communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to relate well with people
  • Ability to multi-task and use time wisely
  • Experience with, and mastery of, Microsoft Office Suite
