Community of the Savior seeks a full-time assistant or associate pastor to serve in the ministries of Word, Sacrament, Order, and Service. General areas of ministry include preaching, teaching, sacramental ministry, spiritual formation, pastoral care, evangelization, community outreach, and administrative duties. Specific responsibilities will be collaboratively discerned in relation to the gifts and strengths of the successful candidate, the missional initiatives of the parish, and the seasons of the year. The successful candidate will be compatible with the theological commitments of Community of the Savior and hold ordination in the Free Methodist Church USA or other Christian denomination. In addition, applicants should have an understanding of and commitment to liturgical worship and sacramental theology, a willingness to commit to the Core Affirmations of Community of the Savior, excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as proven interpersonal skills that enable them to minister across diverse cultural, socio-economic, and educational levels. A master’s degree, or the equivalent, in the areas of scripture, theology, and ministry is also required.
